First Blog Post - FMX 210

Hello! I'm Elisia Alvarado-Cali. I'm 21 years old and a Film and Media Arts Junior at the University of Tampa. I'm originally supposed to be graduating this year, but I took a gap year after graduating high school. I think it's important to know that I am on the Autism Spectrum. Although, I don't want that to distract from my work and achievements. I'm not quite sure what career I want to have, but I do have a strong interest in video editing and screenwriting. I've been editing for about 3 years now, so you could say it is a passion of mine.  I was born in Springfield, Missouri and moved to Florida when I was 8 years old. My mom is from Missouri, but my dad was born and raised in Ecuador. I also have dabbled in filmmaking and even made a mini documentary on my dad's journey from Ecuador to America. I'm excited to take this class, because I want to delve more into the media aspect of my degree. I've been focusing so much on the film side that I want to have more experience in digital media. To be honest, I've never been artistic but I hope I can get out of my comfort zone and challenge myself.
